I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to Adam Terpstra who in his very dedicated way has helped  and continues to help my creative parts feel the safety and light of day. He has helped me nurture my self leadership which has been key to finding the energy and dedication to make this album and take myself seriously as a writer and artist and living to my full potential.  The  song WHEN A LEAF FALLS (about recovery from childhood trauma) which will be released in 2025 is dedicated to my inner child with enormous appreciation to Adam for his care and compassion.

Frank has a B.A Honours in Music and and a degree in Education. Jacob Gorzhaltsan

Flute, Clarinet, Alto Sax, and Inspiration

Jacob Gorzhaltsan is a Juno-nominated multi-instrumentalist,  composer, and singer-songwriter based in Toronto, Ontario.  A rare talent who is both trained and reads and plays by ear and heart. His talent just jumps off the "vinyl".  Thank you Jacob :)

Melanie Doane

Fiddle and talent beyond

Melanie Doane - so talented, beautiful inside and out, and so generous in all that she does:  to know Mel is to love her. She continues her  long career in the music industry that includes a Juno award, top 40 singles, tours throughout North America, a stint on Broadway and a feature role in the Toronto production of War Horse.

I was so blessed to have her contribute her talent to my music. 

Melanie has also added another dimension to her music career.  She founded Doane Music School – a classroom teaching initiative to carry on the work of her father, celebrated music educator and Order of Canada recipient  J. Chalmers Doane – so that her children and their peers could enjoy the same enriching music experience she had growing up in Halifax. It is a wonderful charity to consider a donation.

Creighton Doane

Percussion and Inspiration

Creighton has played drums and toured the world with artists like Allah Myles, Harem Scarem and sister Melanie Doane. He has and performed with some of Canada’s best-know artists in a variety of genres.

 

For my album, be it latin drums for one song, sounds of Canada for another, country music that needs a washboard, or middle eastern style percussion- it did not matter.  Creighton added percussion with taste and precision and was engaged with helping my album from the get go. I cannot recommend him enough for percussion and production work you may need in his very comfortable studio in east end Toronto. 

His musicality is wonderful and he is an officer and gentleman in every sense of the word.

Brenton Chan

Cellist divine - his cello can make you cry

Brenton played Cello on my CD BEATLES BALLADS with Frank Caruso on piano in 2009 - he was brilliant then and only gets better with time. 

He holds a Master of Music degree from the University of Toronto in Cello Performance. He shares his skill and passion with the University of Toronto as a cello ensemble coordinator.

He added great sensitivity and empathy to the score where it was called for.

I was so fortunate to have Camille engineer and record and help mix my music.  He was meticulous, engaged, musical, patient, and brought boundless calm which countered my intensity.  

Nothing was "left to the mix" with Camille. We corrected and improved at each step of the recording. Thank you Camille for your hard work, patience, and dedication.
